Report Analyst -- The Knot Inc. (Austin)

This position requires a highly organized, self-directed team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills to create and maintain a portfolio of reports. In addition, candidate must be highly skilled and experienced with graphical elemental reporting tools as well as drill down capabilities. The Report Analyst’s role is to design, develop, and deploy project based as well as ad-hoc executive level reports.

Responsibilities

  • Develop standardized reports in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) 2005 and 2008.
  • Work with Data Services staff to deploy, schedule, and set-up report distribution in SSRS.
  • Clarify reporting requirements and report specifications with Business Analysts
  • Adhere to established database and reporting development standards
  • Participate in and attend development sprints to satisfy reporting objectives

Qualifications/Skills

  • 1+ years experience using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services 2005 report -design, development and deployment
  • 2+ years experience writing and tuning TSQL queries
  • Experience creating and modifying stored procedures and viewsStrong communication (both written and verbal) and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Flexible and adaptable to a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced Excel Skills
  • Experience writing MDX queries a plus
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and web technologies a plus
  • Knowledge of SSIS a plus
