Front-end UI Developer -- The Knot Inc. (Los Angeles)

Exciting opportunity for motivated forward-thinking front-end Developer. In addition to building out pages on a very high profile media site, you will be working with a team of application developers, artists, and business units to develop cutting-edge web applications and tools.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience in front-end development
  • Ability to take the initiative in developing front-end frameworks, proactively indentify problems, develop solutions, and communicate and work tightly with the back-end, QA, and production team.
  • Strong hands-on skills and experience in JavaScript, HTML, XHTML, CSS, and cross-browser compatibility, creating pixel-perfect pages based on spec.
  • Able to hand-code standards-compliant mark-up, with strong knowledge of CSS, HTML5, and jquery in a rich UI interface.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with the Microsoft .NET framework and technologies, Visual Studio a plus.
  • Flash/Actionscript experience a plus, but not necessary.
