Associate Art Director -- The Knot Inc. (New York)

The Knot and The Nest are looking for a talented designer/art director to work in our fast editorial art department. This full time position requires a motivated, responsible, project-oriented, self-managing individual who is responsive to direction and eager to work on all our magazine titles.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years design experience
  • Sophisticated typography and design skills
  • Able to plan stories from concept through finished layout
  • Excellent production skills
  • Good understanding of retouching and pre-press.
  • Proficient in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator
  • Work in a fast paced environment under tight deadlines and on several issues and projects simultaneously
  • Must be a strategic thinker
